The Soul: A Commentary

Take a moment to really think about what a soul is. Each and every one of us have one; a driving life force which propels us through this vast matrix that is consciousness. It operates in an extra-dimensional reality so foreign to the visible light reality that we normally operate in, and it manages to guide our physical body and govern our thoughts and actions throughout our human experience on this planet. It is said that the soul’s purpose of incarnating through humans is to become as experientially rich as possible by doing exactly that, experiencing anything and everything that it can so that it can continue to expand its own awareness. The soul's ultimate plan? To remember who it truly is, an energetic vibration of the purest light with a limitless potential to play and create; a fragment of the source of all creation itself. This can be a complex idea to process at first, especially if you are new to understanding vibrations and frequencies. I'm not even saying that I can fully comprehend this idea of a light being that is pure potentiality. It’s difficult to understand because our imagination and image constructing abilities are limited by the part of the brain that constructs the images from past "physical" experiences. So when we say that our souls are light, we automatically think of the light that we see shining from a light bulb or a star. The truth is that souls are so much more than that.

The soul's goal is to become as experientially rich as possible; this means that there is no judgement towards anything that it chooses to experience. For example, you may ask why a soul might choose to experience starvation in a third world country, or experience dying upon birth. This is because the soul comes from a place of pure neutrality and non-judgment, for every experience is an opportunity for it or another soul to learn and grow. So the baby that dies within ten minutes of it being born provides the parents with an emotional event that will change their life affecting future thoughts and actions, leading them to more experiences and lessons. Judgment is an aspect of our human ego; it doesn't exist at the soul level. Identity is an aspect of the ego as well, because any attachment to any identity limits our essence of pure potentiality. For example, think about what you would say about yourself while filling out an online profile. You are a 23 year old male college student studying to become a doctor. This title is an identity that you (or your ego) have created about your physical self. It simply limits your true self.

People are waking up to the fact that the soul isn't just a silly "new age" term anymore, and more and more people are beginning to connect with this aspect of their self that they might call their inner voice. The term "follow your heart" has never been more prevalent during this period of time we call the "awakening". We have come to a point in our human evolution where we are ready to move on from the current reality that we are creating. The souls have decided that they have played with all of these systems (money, religion, war, separation) for long enough, and are ready to ascend into a higher state of vibration, an entire new dimension that is difficult to imagine. It truly is exciting times to be alive on Earth. These next few years will be the IMAX experience of the movie we are watching unfold. Hold tight.

If there were some things in this post that were a bit complex to process, be patient. There is a lot of information which encompasses many subject fields that you will need to absorb to fully get a grasp on the world we are currently experiencing. I will expand on some of the ideas mentioned in this post in posts soon to come. Namaste.

  1. I believe that our soul is the energy that powers our being while inhabiting this vessel we call our body. When I say "powers our being" I don't mean gives our body the power it needs to grow and live, but the reason we know and feel. To have a personality, be empathetic and hold on to memories is something I don't think is possible for a purely physical life form. If we were a computer, our soul would be the connection between the electricity, hard drive and internet. On the subject of the internet, I have a feeling that it has a lot to do with our current acknowledgement of spirituality in a non-religious way. Talking to someone on the other side of the world at the same time was something previously thought impossible, now it is reality. We have been shown that we can all think and feel the same way at the same time by the internet. We can see the correlation between the internet and shared consciousness through trending twitter topics, viral videos and top google searches. People are starting to wonder if there is a more natural connection for thought and empathy through energy rather than the purely physical and intellectual form of connection the internet has given us. We have poked our sleeping shared consciousness with a stick by seeing the possibility of connection to others through the internet. That being said, there is the possibility of us relying too heavily on that physical connection and becoming numb to the energetic connection that we are able to access, therefore losing what we came so close to having. That is why I agree with you, these times are the awakening, I just hope we don't bump our heads on the top bunk and pass out.
